One animal record, several lenses

The farm sees production, breeding and cost. The breed society sees pedigree and ownership. The co-operative sees what each member delivers. Each works from the same identified animal, and each keeps control of its own data.

How the records connect

Every record starts with an identified animal: one number for life on a Studbrand ID tag, carrying the official national number wherever one exists. On the farm, StudPro records what the animal produces and costs.

Pedigree and ownership flow to the breed society’s herdbook on Studbrand Registry, where the society registers and certifies. The farmer never has to enter the same information twice.

Farms own their records. Societies own their herdbooks. See how we handle data.
